The Cafeteria at Notre Dame Prepatory prepares a wide variety of delicious meals for students and staff. There is an extensive menu to choose from on a daily basis, but these 7 items are clearly the best.

  1. Orange Chicken –

This classic dish combines sweet and tangy sauce over savory chicken pieces. It is a satisfying, nutritious meal that is served on a bed of rice. The Orange Chicken is available weekly and is quite popular. Orange Chicken is baked in the oven and served warm.

  1. Caesar Salad –

Crisp romaine lettuce with a flavorful dressing. Topped with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and crunchy croutons. The Caesar Salad is available every single day of the year. This is a very healthy and nutritious option for students to eat at lunch. It can be a side dish or a whole meal.

  1. Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers

NDP offers food from Raising Cane’s Restaurant every other week. Raising Cane’s is a fast food restaurant that specializes in chicken meals. NDP will usually offer the Cane’s wo Piece Chicken Fingers meal. The chicken is served crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. This is one of the most popular items that is offered. “The lunch lines are usually noticeably longer when the cafeteria is selling Cane’s,” said Ashlyn Park, a sophomore at NDP. The cafeteria will usually run out of Cane’s before the end of the second lunch period.

  1. Chick-Fil-A –

Notre Dame also sells Chicken Sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A. It is a crispy chicken patty on a fresh baked bun with tangy pickles. The school switches back and forth with Raising Canes and Chick-Fil-A on a weekly basis. Chick-Fil-A is another very popular item at NDP. Ashlyn Park says that it makes her day when the school has Chick-Fil-A.

  1. Seasoned French Fries –

The seasoned French Fries are available at least once a week. It is a salty and tangy seasoning on hot, crisp french fries. These fries are a frequent purchase by many students. It is a quick and easy snack or meal.

  1. Mac-n-Cheese –

The Mac-n-Cheese is classic comfort food at NDP. The creamy cheese sauce mixed with the hearty macaroni pasta noodles is a crowd-pleaser. The Mac-n-Cheese is one of the most inexpensive items on this list, perfect for students.

  1. Bean Burritos –

NDP also offers breakfast burritos in the morning. They are often bought by NDP students as a second breakfast. A warm tortilla is filled with beans, tomatoes, and cheese. Wesley Roduin stated, “Although bean burritos are controversial, many students still buy and enjoying eating the bean burritos.”
